I have been trying to be diligent and post my pictures each day as I take them. I have been successful in the last weeks or so at doing that, so we will see how long THIS will last, and it is 1223 am and I am very tired......
The magnolia variety Ann died last year and I was able to replace it with Jane, a definite upgrade, if you ask me. One never knows if a plant/tree like this will survive the winter (even a mild one here) and I was excited to see what the "home-grown" blooms would be like. Today, I shot a series of pictures of the Jane magnolia blooms in my backyard,, and theses pics truly look like the flowers and petals in the yard. The lilac pink color is just great, and each petal absorbs the light slightly differently giving the flower much depth and color. I hope you enjoy them, I certainly do every day these blooms are in my yard.......
