Have You Seen the Lilacs this Year?

All over town, the lilacs are blooming, and showing off their profuse flowers. It is quite something to see these bushes overflowing with flowers, so full and so colorful. Not to mention, the fragrance. Above: several bushes together in a neighbor's yard Below: that bush up closer

...and up closer still. You can see the conical shape and starburst like pattern here..........but i don't think you can quite smell them. Try scratch and sniff......

These lilacs are in my next-door neighbor's back yard. In the morning, the sun shines on the flowers, creating a beautiful sight.

Yes, I do know that the picture below is not a lilac. Anyone can tell you that it is a snowmound spirea. I just love how the branches are covered with white flowers as they gracefully bend, showing volume and depth and great texture.....I couldn't help it.
