My Great Grandpa committed suicide during the Great Depression so that my Great Grandma could use his life insurance to take care of their 4 children. She loved to bake and used that money to start “Osman Pies”. Once she passed away, here oldest son and his wife took over the business and they were known as the ”pie people”. This is a photo of their headstone, the shape of a Pie.
