I thought as Art, that why and why this happen. Everyday kids and our lives in dangerous, the gunman or other pople whoes kill innocent people, what their heart made from????
Not many days a go I heard report that Philadelphia #1 city of crime in US. I don't want my son grow up in city that less safe. I understand other parent feeling, especially at Virginia tech yesterday.. it break my heart and every parent heart.

Thank you for posting this tribute. We received an email today telling us that Paul, a junior at Virginia Tech and someone I knew, was fine. My prayers go out to those families who have lost a loved one.

Very moving tribute...and also moving words from everyone. I join Art in feeling a bit overwhelmed by the direction our society seems to be taking. It's of course an over-generalization but I feel that core human values have been eroding. Probably a more cynical view would be that we as a species have never had these values to begin with. If you look at history and at the present, humans have always done and continue to do unspeakable things to each other. The hope is that the enlightened few will continue to use their will and influence to affect change. That's what I want my photography to contribute to in some small way.
