what? there's no grief for the fly in here? what a hard-hearted crowd. (i love the koi below the surface. i keep hearing the theme from "jaws". raised an octave or two.)

Just to reassure all of you, this fly is a horse-fly, or gad-fly, hudge, this why I could focus neatly on him, I had hit him on the head before he could sting me, and put him there to see what would happened. I have three kois, one of them is enormous, my husband keeps feeding them ! The one you see is a small one and couldn't have swallowed the fly, but the big one did, I was just a split second too late to catch the action. Thank you all for your comments
