Very powerful portraits....and nice double meaning. At first I thought that "broken" referred to her arm in the sling..... But, looking at her expression in the second shot especially, I'm not so sure that she has been broken by life......maybe cracked or dented a little.....

Carley she looks a bit odd on the second picture I agree, but she only gave me that look when I took the picture. We had a perfectly normal conversation, she is leaving the hospital in 10 days to join a protected home. I love your comment ...crakcked or dented a little... I must remember that expression !
