it sure is, you just have to grab it when you can! I love this shot, as I did the black socks.

this is a mesmerizingly beautiful image. like a painting. such warm and inviting colours. such great composition and a delicately beautiful subject. bright and pretty for sure. the only grey is in the accompanying words which at first contrast the image but with further thought compliment it, the now c. looking at the then c. the same bright and pretty but only able to recognize it in the past... indeed slippery nasty eels our minds that loose sight of our own beauty over time sending us on pointless searches for happiness when its right there all along hiding within us

i very much admire the way you use colors to add an alienation effect of your pictures. i won't even start to ask you about how you do it, instead just accept you being the master of me. however, it makes me wonder what's going on in your mind when you post such superb portraits, swaying between serene contemplativity and burning despair. gauguin wouldn't have been able to do it better. on a more personal note...

Happiness is as slippery as an eel. Do you think that could be why the Americans have in their declaration of independence as "unalienable Rights", ... that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Life and liberty you are, (or can be), given but happiness you have to chase down yourself. Great picture, interesting effects - I seldom think of trying arty effects or taking pictures specifically to apply effects to - my brain is short on arty cells.

Aiaiai. What is behind those feelings? Maybe you need to get yourself going by making some more creative things to hang on tree for xmas! Do you want to make a period dress maybe? To cheer you up? I could show you how very easily. Lovely photo though.
