Flying Ant Day yesterday.
High tide in the evening. The Sea was soooo warm.
Got to write an Artists statement for my show today. Lord knows how if this is anything to go by.... taken me ages to write this. I feel this dumb. (Pre-menstrual... my permanent 'go to' excuse according to James)

It seems early in the season for flying ants, I always think of them coming out at the end of July to mid-August, maybe it's different in different places. I distrincly remember as a kid though it was during the summer holidays that we'd be plagued with them. James is a smart boy if he's twigged the excuse already, some adult blokes never catch on. #1 is great, I don't remember seeing ant footprints either in sand/soil. I have seen traces on stone paving where they've tracked through a spilled sticky liquid. #3 "Oh mum, not again" - great expression... :-) #5 love the sky and clouds and the way it blends into the smoggy horizon, even on the Isle of Wight it seems the breeze cant blow the haze away. ????? · 2009-07-03: 11:49
