Yes, photography is funny. It's so real yet always so far from real.

I've decided 'artist' is a title that is not given to you by others, but by yourself. I could put that on a postcard from Palm Springs. The entire town seems to have stopped in time in the 1950's so your nostalgia would be right at home here! :-)

Will you print? It is odd to think it doesn't exist...

Deep observation, If you have a decent editor it might be fun to shift the temperature of the picture to something a bit warmer to exaggerate the nostalgic feeling.

being an artist is about creating with whatever medium you choose.... and I like the postcard idea... sounds like a neat PB digital meets reality project :)

OK, I missed this originally, now I've seen it I'll send a postcard for the hell of it, but I'll also post my definition of art and artist here. An artist is someone who creates or performs something, ("a work"), that, (intentionally), causes an emotional response in another who experiences it. By my definition virtual art is still "art" and so you are an artist. A actor or musician or singer can be an artist and the work they perform is art. A performance artist is an artist but every performance is a transient work. Not all art is an inherently permanent thing.

BTW, I've found a pack of postcards my mother bought years ago, shortly after she moved up to London to live with me - it's about time I think they were used.
