BEEF. waiting to be spit roast.
Kiddo with his note book. Took 2 pages of architectural notes down to use in minecraft.
First saw this years ago and decided to see if I could find it again. Looks nothing like I remembered it.
A painting of Elizabeth that I'm not familiar with. Read a lot of books about her so this was an exciting surprise.
BEEF.. looking at this James started salivating. The public are not allowed to eat it...
Off in a private bit of the palace for a cup of tea and tudor bread and butter.. mmmmm. Kiddo quite content to sit n read his book while I went off on my own.
Graffitti.. there was a deer too but for some reason it doesn't want to upload.
A strange and recently discovered beast. Looks like a wolf to me.
Barry who gave us tickets and tea (and BEEF)
Barry who showed me the wolf graffiti.
Bugger forgotten his name.. Terry will inform me I hope? Ah Thank you Terry.. Robert.
Ditto
Took lots of pictures in the wine vault. I only like this one however.
took lots of pictures of these beasts in the garden. I only like this one...
Bizarre door with named letterbox opening into a courtyard...
More Graffiti

BEEF almost done. Me n James held off leaving until it was ready....
Ah! the deer!
Terry looking at the BEEF fresh off the spit.
Robert, Robin (who I had a lovely cigarette with in the loveliest staff smoking garden) and Terry with the BEEF..
Oh the BEEF. Salivating at the memory. We were advised to try beef with butter. OH MY GOD. We were so so lucky to be able to have this! I am extremely grateful and it was unspeakably delicious.
Some eggs laid by Celestine who I can't wait to meet and am so pleased to be the one who named her. and some BEEF :)))))

The one you can't remember in #11 is Robert. The one turning the spit is Marc M (in #5), there's another Marc, Marc H, not shown. There's also Richard (shown in #12 above) and Jorge who you missed (he spent the morning showing people how to write with a quill pen and the afternoon with a 4 place "mess" explaining about Tudor table etiquette and how the whole dining experience worked. The kings beast you like is "The Yale", a mythical animal, whose horns can rotate. The one you show if from the Chapel Garden, and I like both the garden and the beasts. The beasts appear at the front gates, and also at Kew Gardens in front of the Palm House. I'm glad you had a good time, the place is (as far as I'm concerned anyway) a great place to visit.

what a place of utter aristocratic nonsense. palaces always make me glad that i'm a freaking common. this one, taken over by some citizens making tourist money out of it, seems to make some kind of lovely sense. must be the BEEF. so, you're a BEEFeater now? ;-)

Amazing set! When visiting castles I always wonder how it must feel to actually live in one...at night, when all the visitors are gone and ghosts take over:)
