Phnom Penh, Tonle Sap, Siem Reap

Travel buddy, drinking water, early in the morning before catching the boat to Siem Reap. An athlete, she was quite the hydration-pusher.

Upon arrival at Siem Reap, the boat passes through a floating village. This village includes a floating school (with fenced-in floating basketball courts). These students were paddling back to land at lunch time.

Guesthouse and tuk tuk touts, as well as beggar children, wait for the boat o' tourists to arrive at the muddy village where the boat docks near Siem Reap proper.

These helpful notices were taped over a bed in our guest house in Siem Reap. Initially, we fretted that the Family Guest House attracts a rougher crowd than we had anticipated initially. Fortunately, these turned out to be more of a thoughtful recommendation than a dire warning.
