It took the MC a long time to notice what was up. Then he just stood around awkwardly waiting for the banner to be fixed by two dudes with staple guns. It was kind of a climactic moment.

We were told there would be 1,000 Michael Jackson impersonators. Actually, they meant 1,000 prospective guests, and one MJ impersonator, and two back up dancers. A lot of time was spent rallying the crowd and getting celebrities to sign a giant poster. It was boring.
