Today my sister, niece, and a small crew headed to Zurich to support two friends, Arne and Elaine (husband and wife) who were completing an Ironman race!! It's such an incredible race and incredible distances!! They swim 3.9 kilometres (in the Zurich lake), cycle 180 kilometres around the swiss countryside, and then run a full marathon (42.1 kilometres)!!! Absolutely amazing!! They actually travel the distance of Cork to Dublin in one day (taking approx 12hours) by human power!! This photo is Elaine - can you believe in this photo she had the swim and cycle and 30 km under her belt and still had another 10km..she looks like she's on a sunday stroll! Fresh as a daisy! ;) Well done Elaine and Arne!!
