I started the day, determined to get an Olympic athletics ticket! I've been chasing the rare tickets for a long time! I was refreshing the website, sometimes every couple of minutes, when suddenly a listing for a ticket appeared. I flung what I was holding and, with adrenalined fingers, jumped through the hoops of the website to request a ticket...and then I waited.....and waited.....and then....I GOT a ticket!! Woohoo!! for next saturday morning! Yay!! I'm going to the Olympic Stadium! (I had to change my flight to fly the night before, and thankfully kind Grainne, who I'll be staying with in London, is generously allowing me an extra night in her apartment!)
Later after work I decided to celebrate by going for a run (a rare thing these days..ops) I passed this lovely field and thought it worthy of a photo. I'm veery unfit and need to get out more often..but it makes me admire the athletes and sportspeople even more!!
