Slices of Life

Today, for me, was about examining the different pieces that make up my life. These are the few that I captured.

The first picture - my cowboy boots and leather jacket - are a piece of me that manifested itself several years ago, quite unexpectedly, and has stayed long since it's trigger has fallen away. They make me feel strong, independent, free, sexy, and safe. They are a slice of me.

The next photo is a photo of Grip. Grip is my Red Tail Boa; seven feet long, maybe seven pounds - I haven't bonded with him like I have with Buddy, but I've got to give it time. Grip represents my reptiles, my love of animals, my desire to be an entrepreneur (I do shows with reptiles and he's the main attraction).

Finally, two pieces of Native American jewelry; the bracelet is Zuni, the necklace is Lakota (Wolf made it for me as a surprise). Both pieces are turquoise, a stone of healing, and they represent strength, healing (emotional, physical, and mental), growth, and new stages in my life.
