Day 40: Downtownery

Let me first start by explaining the first picture you see- that was sent via SMS from my Cell Phone... this activity I am going to refer to as 'Drunk Photoblogging.' This is very similar to drunk dialing, except the activity in question involves taking a photo with your phone, while drunk, then sending that photo via SMS to Photoblog to post, while drunk. Keep in mind this is a very difficult process and the miracle that I did it successfully warrants keeping the seemingly useless photo present on this day's post.

With that said- Yesterday, earlier in the day, Rachel left for home. I was then responsible for gathering myself and returning to work only to find out I had been volunteered to entertain a 'client' for the company. She was from Hong Kong and from what I had met of her at that point- quite the handful.

Gerry, Ross, and I take her out to a night on the Boise town. The first question she asks when we get to the bar is "Do you have absinthe?" Off to a swimming start. Three pitchers and shots of Jaegermeister followed by at least two rounds of dirty martinis and some kind of vodka conconction- the picture you see at the top was taken. This was Gerry ushering Sofia (VIP guest) into a cab to get her home so that she could fly out the next day. What you do NOT see is about 10 seconds later, Gerry attempting fruitlessly to pick a fight with the cab driver behind this guy. Classic.

All in all- it was an insane night- I had to spend the evening on Gerry's couch as I was in no position to drive and the majority of the evening was spent in blur mode. Gaussian to be exact. In all reality- Sofia was a friggin' riot and fun to hang out with. I did get an email today that said something to the effect of thanking us for getting her hammered, delivering a hangover and drinking [with her] so much vodka. Good times.

In short- the picture up top is from 2-4AM this morning. I awoke at about 9:00AM on Gerry's couch, went home to gather myself and drink some water, then met Gerry and Ross downtown for more soliciting about on the street and general Downtownery.

We saw the movie 'War' which was god-awful. Rent it- make fun of it. Met some of Ross' friends and just played like we belonged downtown. At one point we were simply sitting in chairs on the sidewalk doing nothing but watching folks pass. I feel like I am fitting in well here in Idaho, no?
