finally~A Gold mine

The garden, jannies flowers, basil ,pansies ,dahlias, passion vine, morning glory , sun flowers, on left. Deck is 8 ft tall (2 plus meters) ,tomatos are close.

The bounty

sugar bush, a small sweet yellow cherry type tomato, in upper right, not sure what these other guys are, but they are tasty

The big ones are a red brandywine, the one in middle a yellow brandywine, far right a Big Pick. I always try to pick something different each year to see how it does in our world. love it. cd.

It"s a labor of love, a peaceful escape, bottom line, I like doing this. It's a total challenge every year, the weather, the temperature, I share the fruits of my labors with my friends, I produce way more than Jannie and I can consume. Wish I could share it with all of you. There's nothing like something fresh from the garden, like for our dinner tonight !!

This is an awesome yield and a serious-sized garden Neil - well done. Cannot agree more about having some genuinely fresh veggies for dinner. One of the worse things about winter is the lack of taste in the tomatoes from the shops. Wonderful summer colours in these shots! What's a jalapeno? - looks like a green chilli, or a capsicum.
