These people came over to the USA, to start a new life, they helped build one of our first transportation systems, they were abused , overworked , and very much "Used" . But they helped the westward movememt

This thing is "Huge" And in a strange place !

Old Train Station , Auburn, Ca , USA. The Coolie statue is right next to this station

History Preserved .

Saw this in my travels, light wasn't that good, but it is what it is , a part of the westward movement in the 1800's. True Story.

pandka Great work! When I was writing my diploma thesis on Japanese diasphora in Latin America (but I mentioned also about the U.S.), by the way I found information about Chinese workers building Transcontinental Railroad in California. Great number of people employed there lost their life in accidents which happened every day. The most of people never returned to their families because of various diseases and terrible labor and life conditions .
