This did not pan out quite as I had hoped... Need to see photoblog.com rules of max size photos. Anyway, this was stitched together of 11 photos.
It is also available here, in slightly larger scale.

On the last day before driving back South we decided to go to Keswick and view some of its' surrounding villages.
Now then now then now then now... First stop was Castlerigg stone circle, one of many prehistoric burial/worship places in the UK. Then we headed to Keswick to see the town (very briefly) and Cumberland Pencil Museum (in more detail). There Mirjam revealed she always wanted to draw and we left with a handful of colour pencils. See also Parking Disorder post. Fast forward 45 minutes we found ourselves in an idyllic place nead Buttermere where the panoramic image was taken (or stitched together if you will). This was followed by a quick stop near Honister Pass which is a nice place to visit.. unless you turn up two minutes too late.
And that concludes our trip to the Lakes this year. I hope to be back in September/October for autumn colours.
