I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.....

I decided to create a photo a day, for the entire year of 2008. This is an attempt to break myself out of stale old photographic habits that are making my photography quite mediocre and uninteresting. I also wanted to get in the habit of carrying my camera everywhere i go.

So far i am enjoying the project, but i know this can get old very quickly (i tried it once before).

Hopefully i create some interesting photos for you to look at...if not.... worst case scenario is that i have a few thousand more mediocre photographs in my library.

update: february...
well - with one month done, i am happy to report that i still have the creative drive i need to do this. And although some days have been very uninspired i am seeing already that my favourite photos are ones where i pushed myself harder to be creative...lets see what happens.

yep, well, it's december...and i failed the project. the relief i felt after stopping in October has now been replaced with a little regret, and an overwhelming urge to produce more photos and start posting again. I guess i miss doing it :(

	Reply ⇔ Stair shadow nice work, i like. have you tried trimmimg off the right hand and left hand sides, up to the horizontal lines to make it a bit more abstract? I think it is one that I need to play with; I have taken a bit off the right side already but you are right about the white stripe. Guestbook · Message

Reply ⇔ Paisaje (Sils) this is lovely....was it a long exposure? the light through the trees looks like it is dancing. Use a normal, even slightly rapid exposure because I used a telephoto lens to compress the perspective. The secret of this image is that it is not a rain, it is the irrigation of a field for a powerful dispersor of water that was falling down on this nearby forest. Perhaps the image to lost magic on having said this (?) Guestbook · Message

Reply ⇔ Desnudo i like it a lot, but perhaps you could crop a little off the right hand side of the photo, it would focus attention on her more and also eliminate that crumple of fabric in the bottom right corner. You have the whole reason. In the enlargement that I have in house I have framed the image again to avoid this wrinkle and darkened more the corners. I am glad to have intelligent critiques.
