Zong (rice dumpling) is traditionally eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival which falls on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the Chinese calendar (approximately early- to mid-June) but nowadays you can get it any time of the year and in all variations. In the foreground is the Hakka zham tao zong (pillow zong).
