Gong BBQ Korea @ USJ Taipan

The main commercial area in USJ (UEP Subang Jaya) is the Taipan area. Taipan is the township's central business area and is famous throughout the Klang Valley for its variety of food outlets. There are numerous food outlets ranging from fastfood, alfresco dining, modern contemporary cuisine down to fusion Asian-Western food. The Taipan area is a favourite amongst the residence and can be very congested in the night time with people or families going out for dinner or to do some shopping.

This restaurant is located at the busiest street on the 1st floor of an end lot.



Banchan (side dishes)


Kimchi (김치): vegetables (usually cabbage, white radish, or cucumber) commonly fermented in a brine of ginger, garlic, green onion and chilli pepper.

Galbi (갈비): pork or beef ribs, cooked on a metal plate in the centre of the table.

It is often called "Korean BBQ"

Samgyetang (삼계탕): a soup made with chicken that are stuffed with ginseng, a hedysarum, sweet rice, jujubes, garlic, and chestnuts.

Last night, went to USJ Taipan to look for Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh (branch of the famous Klang Bak Kut Teh "Under the Bridge"); seems the shop no longer in business. In the end, try this Korean food for a change.
