I took this picture for a project I had to do in my my photography class when I was a senior in high school. The project was to chose a song and create a picture book out of it.
I chose a song called "Forever Young." NO, not the song by Rod Stewart, but a song by Youth Group. Actually, the song was originally by Alphaville. You may have either heard the song from Napoleon Dynamite or The O.C., whichever floats your boat.
"Forever young, I want to be forever young." Sometimes I wish that I could stay this age forever.
The lyric that this picture coincides with is obviously the title. Some people in the picture are '[turning their faces in to the sun]' while one is looking at the camera and the other is looking in another direction. I like that they are all not looking at the sun. It presents a sense of childlike actions, don't you think? Kids don't always listen or do what they're told. I actually told everyone in this picture to look at the sun, but just like kids, they didn't listen. And I'm glad they didn't. It made the photo fit perfectly for the song.
