Huanguoshu

The big waterfall. Quite scenic; you can hike all around and behind it. It was pretty cool, even though it rained quite a bit that day and we didn't stay very dry. :S

One of the many spectacular views in the Tianxing Scenic Area. It is quite the lush walk through the area. I highly recommend it to anyone travelling around China, though the park's entrance fee is a bit steep.

Another great view. Rounding nearly every corner was an assault of beauty on the eyes.

Some pink trees still in bloom around the lake. Quite nice. I wish my camera could capture the colour my eyes saw.

The Douputang waterfall. There was also a bird sanctuary in this area, with a whole bunch of peacocks.
As you can see in the image, it is possible to walk right up to the base of the waterfall. The mist was refreshing.

After spending two days in the Getu River Valley, we travelled to Huanguoshu, home of the largest waterfall in Asia, and apparently the largest waterfall cluster in the world. The signs also claimed that the big fall is the only one in the world that can be viewed from 'all 6 sides;' front, back, left, right, top, and bottom.
Anyway, we met a young couple from Chengdu with enough English to be a blessing. They helped us find a place to sleep, and they toured the park with us.
