The hills and the music

[1-5] Hellbrunn. Recognise the pavilion? Umm. Maybe it looks more romantic by night. And yes, of course the swan was talking to the little boy. It's just a matter of different languages...
[6-7] Spring's just round the corner! Crocuses!!
[8,9] Schloss Leopoldskron, the Sound of Music house. Half of the movie house anyway. We were told the other side of the movie house was filmed elsewhere.
[10] The cliff separating Salzburg old town from the new. Besides the tunnel, there are 3-4 levels of carparks built into the rock! They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot...

[12] Salzburg's most famous shopping street, Getreidegasse, '...the heart of Austria's most beautiful shopping centre.' (www.salzburg.info)

[14-17] The Mirabell Palace and its gardens, where the movie was also on location.

[19] When you're in Salzburg it's hard to forget that Mozart was born here.
[20] From the rooftop terrace of Hotel Stein. It's too dark but there's a mountain in the background, and that's German territory already.
