Essex

One word for the Essex countryside: excellent.
After a bit of a setback when I found Fenchurch St station closed for repairs, I settled for an hour+ train to Benfleet and Matthew's home. I still can't believe he commutes to and from work in London every day! Anyway, the camera wasn't with me so not many pictures from here (no proof, as MD is saying). We took a lovely stroll from his house to the castle and then back, then went down to Southend-on-Sea for dinner. Lovely weather, lovely views, lovely day.
