A perfect road leads right up to the foot of the hill, and the garden outside was (surprisingly) rather well-maintained.

A rather unassuming entrance to the grandest caves in the Peninsula. But perhaps that's for the best, considering the damage too many tourists might inflict on the place.

I used to get pretty nervous in caves. I'm not really claustrophobic, but what would happen if I slipped and fell into the deep, dark crevices below? Or if a stalactite chose the very moment I was walking under it to detach itself from the roof of the cave? Or, worse, if the entire limestone structure chose that hour to crumble??
But I've grown up. I know these things would not realistically happen, and even if they could - let's just say I've learned a little bit about statistics and its stories since the last time I was in a cave this daunting. Dauntingly magnificent.
But when all is said and done...accidents do happen, don't they?
