Apparently the current president was standing right there atop the steps when we were there. I don't think he's visible in this picture, though.

The military built Mr Ho a house on stilts: he lived simply in two (three?) rooms on the first floor, and held meetings etc. in the open space on the ground floor.

It was (still is, technically) a beautiful place to live - quiet, simple, and a lake in front where he would feed the fish everyday, so they tell us.
