Unchained Lovely colours and textures in all your neighbourhood! Are all the houses so degraded?

chossid Okay -- I suppose an explanation is in order. My husband and I are emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. We were sent here after the fall of communism, to teach Jews about Judaism, and help them reconnect to their roots. When we lived in America, we lived "normally." When we came here, we lived in abominable conditions. The house we live in now is a step up from the apartment we first lived in, which had been a horse stall for the (cursed) Nazis. You can read about our beginnings in Crimea here, starting near the bottom, with 1st Letter from the Crimea. NOW, there are normal apartments, but the cost is prohibitive. An apartment that is smaller than our (awful) house, with just bare cement walls, cost $250,000!!! Then it would need the same amount to finish is and make it livable! So we are stuck in this environment, meanwhile.

blackhawk1552 Very nice set of Russian Daily life Leah , first time i saw Rural Russia after it open its doors to the world...untouch by modern and age in time..simple living..Well Leah , living in that particular location is not that bad compare to the living condition on the third world countries like mine...whenever typhoon has occurred the houses are the most damage since it it built on bamboo and grass...
so you teach Judaism ? Yehudah( Judah or Judaism ) was the first religion i do believe Moses started for the Jewish nation that runs for three millennium and even Jesus was a communal Judaism..anyway i was fascinated by your wonderful post..and crave to see more of Russian daily life images Leah..thank you so much for sharing ..
Best regards ,
rob
