Day 7 Back to School

My master's program started up again today after a lovely three-week break. For graduate students, we seem to do an inordinate number of ice breakers. I attribute this to the fact that half the program is Marriage Family Therapy based, and therefore, very touchy feely. True to form, we kicked off Winter '08 with an ice breaker, sharing our favorite books, movies, flowers, pets, and colors(?!). Oddly enough, there are only 14 of us in our cohort and for the last year-and-a-half, we have taken every single class together, spent up to 9 hours a day in the same rooms, shared meals, worked on group projects, been holed up on weekends together, and even been in group therapy together...I see these folks more than most members of my immediate family, and yet somehow we are still chipping away at that ice...
