Dear Bease,
I am proud of you. Today was your greatest achievement—you earned your high school diploma and the whole family was there to see it. We gave some of your classmates scholarships in your name. I’m sure you would like that. When all the graduates walked in wearing their caps and gowns, I wished you could be there with them, but I hope you were smiling down on us instead. I know you worked hard for that diploma and overcame more challenges than most people will ever face to earn it.
You did it, Bease. You did so good. Congratulations, I am very proud of you.
