Day 68 Exhale

My four best girlfriends from high school and I rented a lovely cabin in Tahoe, and spent the weekend playing board games, catching up, hot-tubbing, cooking, eating cheese, drinking wine, laughing, scavenger hunting, and generally enjoying life. It felt so good to stop, exhale, and relax for a while.

This morning we sat at the end of a beautiful pier over the lake. Suddenly and seemingly out-of-nowhere, four of us dropped to our knees and serenaded our friend, B, with Extreme's "More than Words" in honor of her 30th b-day. (You know, that cheesy love song from the early 1990s. For some reason, she really loved it in high school). When we finished we looked back and a large group of tourists had stopped walking up the pier and were staring at us, unsure if it was okay to approach this strange group of women.

Only with these girls can I regress to the silliness of my youth and sing 90s rock in public. I guess that's why I love them so much.
