So I went to the dentist last week and as a "courtesy health check" they screened my blood pressure and resting heart rate.
Apparently, my pulse rate was off-the-hook, and not in a good way. More in the... "your heart is beating 130 beats per minute sitting down and you are a 30-year-old in good shape, what the heck?!" way.
I diagnosed myself for my dentist as the soon-to-be sort-of psychologist that I am. "Ahhh, don't worry about it. I'm just writing 8 papers, finishing my grad school course work, buying a house, and moving all in the next four weeks=anxiety up the wazoo," hence the rapid heart rate.
Nevertheless, it's back to the gym for me cause I know that keeps me relaxed and calms my stressed-out heart down. It's funny how easy it is to forget to take care of yourself when everything else seems more important.
