Day 174 Keep On Movin'

2008.06.24

Sorry I have been MIA. As most of you know, we moved to the country last Tuesday. Well, I like to call it the country although my husband says I call it that only because I have never lived in the country to know better. But there are mules on a grassy hill across the street from our house, a windmill atop the hill, a little red barn to feed the mules, deer running across the street at night, and more trees than I have ever seen outside of my weekend trips into nature. So I'm gonna call it the country.

Granted I grew up in San Jose...a little city of 1 million and the high-tech industry and then I lived in Berkeley, London, San Francisco, and Oakland so this is a bit of a change for me.

One thing about the country...internet is not so easy to get set up and so I have not been able to post photos to my blog, check email, or keep up-to-date on all my favorite internet sites. Right now, I am at my hubby's office trying to catch up on all things internet until we can sort out the DSL-country conundrum.

So last Tuesday…moving day. Are there better friends, better human beings than the people willing to help you move? I don’t think so. I discovered that a truly generous soul is friend who will haul box after heavy box of bookssssssss that the English-major/book editor has amassed over the years purely out of the goodness of their hearts and the promise of some pizza and beer.
