Day 212 Oh Deer!

On a walk through my neighborhood this evening, I heard some leaves crackling over my Ipod tunes. Thinking someone was behind me ready to mug me (yeah, still have the city instinct ingrained), I turned around in circles trying to find the culprit, only to see this group of deer staring at me. After I laughed at myself, I pulled out my camera.

I knew we had deer in our neighborhood because they love to dart across the street late at night and scare the daylights out of me when I am driving, but I figured we had maybe three we-live-in-the-country-mascot deer living up in the hills. I did a count -- there were at least 15 in this little pod! So cool. It was quite a sight for this girl-from-the-city when they all took off springing up the hills after I started snapping pictures.
