Made it to the Y junction where you turn right for Grizzly Gulch or left for Stevens Gulch, but still a few miles away from either trailhead.

At Exit 220 from I-70, and about 40 miles west of Denver Colorado is the access road for both the Grizzly Gulch and Stevens Gulch trailheads, trailheads for the popular Grays and Torrey's 14ers (14000 ft mountains).
At just 40 miles from Denver, the "city" mentality can be seen here.
Far above the urban lights, Denverities throw all of their 4-wheel drive might against the poor access road in hopes of shortening the approach hike by a mile or so.
The result?
Multiple, expensive vehicles marooned until the spring melt off.
