Lesotho - DayCare - Now Open!!

The end of the gray season...Yesterday the new Day Care in Lesotho officially opened....

32 kids, will from now on, receive free education and 2 meals a day at the Matlakeng Care Center.

Getting ready to learn after a bit of exercise outside. It was really hot today, but inside their new school building it is nice and cool.

In time we will put the alphabet and other learning aids on the walls and decorate the inside so that it is fun for the kids to be there.

It is awesome to think that every child sitting here will be able to write and read by the end of this year. Hylien will make sure of that, and she is all fired up to get started!!

Getting everything together in Lesotho has not been easy, and we are still waiting on the tables for the kids as well as the counter tops for the kitchen. All in good time...

The builders started with the foundation for John's house. It will give us so much peace of mind when he can move there, and we have people on the base during night-time. The building will also provide overnight accommodation for visitors.

On Thursday evening, the men of the area will be coming together for Men's group in the building. Noon on Tuesdays, the ladies will have their Bible Study and people from the village have been invited to a Church service, starting the following Sunday.
