Early but joyful Christmas Celebrations in Leratong!! #2

The kids had a lot to eat and I am sure that some of them had tummy ache through the night because they ate biscuits, a hearty meal, dessert, chips, sweets and cold drinks. They worked some of it off with all the playing and running around. This day was just perfect!

A boy needs to sit and get his thoughts together, all these things happening can be very tiring.

Young and talented young girls. They only come home for the holidays and it was nice to see them again. They go to school outside the village and have to stay in a hostel.

A young visitor from outside the village who visited with family.

Victor wondering if he will be getting a gift. It was heartwarming to see the anticipation on their faces while the gifts were handed out and then the sudden surprise when their names were called out. There is always the fear for them that they are not included. This is just a way of life for them, not expecting too much. I am glad to say that each and every kid from the village were blessed with school shoes, a toy and a bag full of candy. The little children who did not receive school shoes each received a pair of shoes. clothes, necklaces for the little girls, a doll and candy. The boys received shoes, clothes, marbles, a car and candy. The bigger children received school shoes, candy, necklaces and mathematical instruments.

This day was just great!! The children were blessed and did not expect to receive such wonderful things. Today the ladies came and thanked us with hugs and tears in their eyes for a wonderful day. They said that this day will be remembered for ever. Thank you for everyone involved in making this a memorable day and unforgettable day. God bless and thank you for helping us make a difference!!
