Little Ntswaki. She is like a bouncing ball and we had to wrestle her to sit to take a picture.

Relebohile. She stays with her granny Rosena and Auntie Adelinah in our second house. She is the sweetest little girl and she has a very special place in my heart. When she heard that we were going to take pictures of the girls with the dolls, she ran into the house and got dressed in her clothes and shoes that she received at the Christmas party. After the photo session she dressed back into the clothes that she had on before we took the photos.

Regina and Modiehi. They are two sisters, each standing with their dolls. It is very difficult to get a natural smile from Regina. She is a very shy little girl and when we took this photo the children standing around were laughing at her for smiling "funny". We think she is really cute and very sweet.

Nthabiseng, Tankiso and Tembi's big sister. She is a real little lady and carries little Tembi on her back all the time.

Another little sweetheart, Dimakatso. She has the nicest personality and is always smiling. She is a happy little girl.

Mamello is a quiet girl but very friendly and helpful.
pixel
Tlalane is very talkative and sweet.

This girl visited the village and wanted to hold one of the dolls so that we could take a picture.

Another eager young lady who wanted her photo taken with a doll.

Sarah. This is Florence's little girl. Florence passed away last Thursday. Our hearts break for the children who loose their parents while they are still so young. We don't know who will take care of her and Abraham. The funeral will be tomorrow, please pray for Sarah and Abraham. I think they are still in shock and they haven't realized that their mother is not with them any longer.

Thirty six dolls were handed out as gifts to 36 young girls who gladly "adopted" the dolls as their own. Unfortunately, with the preparations for the funeral tomorrow, we could not get all 36 girls together. I noted today, and it was very precious to me, that the children carry their dolls in plastic bags to keep them clean. This just shows that they really, really appreciate this wonderful gift. The soil on the mountain is red and when you get it on your clothes, there will be a red stain. I know that they will cherish their "children" and take good care of them.

Holding their dolls high so that we can have a clear shot of their dolls.
We want to thank the ladies who took the time to make our kids these precious dolls. It is such a sweet gesture and the fact that it is hand made with love makes it so much more special and I know the girls will treasure them forever.
