McAffee

Bennett, or as we all knew him as, Mcaffee, passed away this week....

Mcaffee was the first person in Leratong village to work with us, helping to clear the rubble where the hall now stands. From there on we kept building, rain or snow. Sometimes money was tight and Mcaffee would work without pay so we could get the buildings finished.

He was HIV and twice came within a breath of dying. People would rally around and pray for his recovery, and both times his frail body would recover and as soon as his strength returned he would be back on site again, building.

Earlier this year he went back to Lesotho after getting sick at the end of 2008. He said he was tired of fighting, just wanted to be with his family.

Today the sad news reached us that he has passed away.

We will miss you my friend.
