I was trying to add pictures on to my blog and lost the other ones that I had posted.....

On March 20th 2010. I downloaded photos of some of the damage that the woodpecker did, and I received several comments, but when I went to add on these photos I lost the other ones...I am sorry...I guess I didnt know how to do it right....

djnana This is a really great documentary on these beautiful but destructive birds. Woodpeckers are the reason my husband owns a pellet gun! It doesn't kill them, just keeps them from riddling our house with holes!
djnana · 2010-03-22: 19:29
????? Someone aught to take the chainsaw away from the woodpecker if he's going around vandalizing trees like that...

Was it one bird or a family? And was it a tree with rot, or did rot set in after the woodpecker damaged it? Or did the woodpecker do it all on its own?

I've never seen that level of damage from a woodpecker over here. But then maybe our woodpeckers are different to yours.

BTW, I hope you still have the originals of the ones you said you lost off of here.
