Swamp Things

On the way from Baton Rouge to Houston, we spent a couple hours at the Lake Martin Nature Preserve near Breaux Bridge (Pont Breaux), Louisiana. I think this guy is an anhinga.

There's a snowy egret rookery on site, but this is about as close as I got to it, far behind the trees. I could hear them squawking.
