The old Union Station stood on the site of Minute Maid Park. Stadium designers stayed with the rail station motif. It's an odd combination--a team named after astronauts housed in a stadium modeled after a train station and named after an orange juice brand. Marketing is so much fun!

Here are a couple of shots taken in April of the "short line" railroad at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Every time an Astro homers, the locomotive and its cargo of oranges chug along the track above the left field wall.
