To avoid the mass of southbound traffic returning to Louisiana on I-55, we took the long way through Natchez. Here' the bridge across the Mississippi there.

We spent most of Wednesday driving my stepson and his family to Jackson, MS (about 180 miles away) to catch a plane back to NYC. After several flight cancellations, they gave up on the New Orleans and Baton Rouge airports.

a long journey but good choice !! glad to see the river bridge in Natchez looks like one in Nola.
