How shall we protect cultural relics well?
This is the second post about protection of ancient relics.
Today I visited an ancient mausoleum of Ming Dynasty, first time I came there,I was shocked by the sight.Everything's changed beyond recognition. The area was full of weeds and a huge amount of tombs were placed in it,Even I couldn't walk into the mausoleum!
According to Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics, the people's governments shall delimit the necessary scope of protection, put up signs and notices, establish records and files for the historical and cultural sites to be protected, establish special organs or assign full-time personnel to be responsible for the administration of these sites. And no additional construction project may be undertaken within the scope of protection for a historical and cultural site.
I don't think people pay much attention to these sites,I'd heard stones or bricks taken from ancient tombs used in house building.People think they're useless so they take advantage of these "useless" materials in building their houses.
