I took this picture on a hike, the rock was beginning to break and scaling back, but the tree rooted in all that rock looked like it got to be a good age and then perhaps lighting got it?? The ecology tour guide said that was not a typical look for pine beedle, so she suspected a little fire must have got it. I've seen storms in Kamloops...it was probably dang lightning!!!!
Anyhoo...thought it was a wild picture with the calm blue sky behind it.
Just such a transition in my mind.
