I decided to do some portrait shots...and hand out mandarin oranges to the less fortunate on Saturday morning...
I got brave and asked this man carrying all this stuff through the park, if I could take his photo.
He said yes. I asked if all he was carrying was ALL he had for possessions. Sadly, he said yes...he was 24 hours out of detox.
I told him I thought that was glorious....how many people get a FRESH start to match spring! :)
He smiled and posed so sweetly for me.

My heart has thought of him every night...I hope he makes the right decisions to keep him on the right path. We rarely get second chances in life...but when we do...it's what we make of it that counts.

I hope Steve makes it! And I love your taking portraits. I thought about doing that sort of thing too as I ran across a photographer's blog where she set out to take 1000 portraits!
