I spotted a trailer of beached sculls along the Cooper River in Camden New Jersey yesterday. Their upside down storage and the backdrop of snow and heavy fog intrigued me.
From spring until early winter, the river is clogged by zooming crews racing up and down in training or competition.
These vessels are waiting in anxious anticipation of spring!
Lesson Learned: Sometimes, being upside down and seemingly out of commission, offers you the protection necessary to avoid being filled up with unnecessary, extra baggage! (Snow and water in the case of a boat!)
I feel sometimes like I am upside down and out of commission... (great KONTRAPUNKT photos!)
I've never seen anything like this before, they are interesting. The " dolphin " looking one, really does look like a dolphin, and the one above it looks a bit like a lobster claw. Like the contrasting colours. I thought the last one was a trick photo for a while until I noticed the trees were the right way up, great post Dan :-)
Great idea for a post, Dan! Love the contrasts not only in the bright colors against the snow, but also the ideas of winter vs. anticipation of spring. Angle in the last one is just super....one of those shots you have to look at for awhile :)))
