A pair of blue trousers away from disappearing!

Lesson Learned: Despair and isolation are all around us but are not always seen. The desperate and the isolated just blend in and become invisible to others and to themselves.

Annbramwell Too true to be funny.. Lets hope this chap is neither desperate or isolated, and just sitting there to get his breath back or to light his cigarette, before he goes home to his beautiful wife and three lovely kids...

MARETKA88 He seems to be deep in thought...maybe just chillaxin..

Marzijapan I agree with McMommy, great thought provoking image, it looks like a joint (spliff ) he is about to smoke
Marzijapan · 2011-05-05: 15:08
Eiram I think some people are invisible to some people....sometimes we prefer to look away....may be out of fear, maybe not knowing how to help...
Eiram · 2011-05-05: 15:24

lookagain He does rather blend in with the bold blue color of his surroundings. Invisible to others, but spotted by Dan....as well as a true, but unfortunate lesson...

lyricalthoughts I agree Dan. Sometimes when I am sad, I just don't want to appear but just disappear. This is a very emotional shot.. perfect dan! :)

????? On the whole I would tend to agree; I agree with Marjorie that they are not invisible to some people, like you, who work with and care about such people. But there are some communities (mine, for example, but not my Ukrainian community,) which really try to notice them and help them and any others who need help, whether it is counselling, centers, special schools, meals for th family after a baby or other warranting situation, a girl to help with the kids, food programs, and on and on. It is every person's business to see others around them who need help, and DO something. If we would all add in acts of goodness and kindness, the world wouldn't have so many problems! Sorry -- I'll get off my soap box now... ;-)

lukesmom The blue backdrop is so dramatic for this shot. A great lesson too. I hope he is just stopping to enjoy his smoke and not as desperate as he appears.....

karmankwarner What a powerful message. Your eyes are so open to all humans, suffering or not. You are a blessed man.
