243/365 - Mystic Theme - Love Birds

2011.08.31
pixel
One little birdie looking no further and the other little birdie looking ahead...
pixel
Lesson Learned: Birds of a feather may flock together, fly together and perch together - but they don't necessarily see or look for the same things!

Two Love Birds

Two love birds:
Singing together,
Perching together,
Roaming together.

Two love birds:
Seeing each second,
Floating each minute,
Drooping each hour.

Two love birds:
Nesting together,
Slumbering together,
Brooding together.

Two love birds:
Eating each second,
Drinking each minute,
Chirping each hour.

Aye, two love birds! :
Not dying together.

Jothindra I like the male for deciding to give his wife time to recover, who is visibly tired. That's what companionship is in the strictest sense.

marilynx Age, like distance, lends enchantment... her face says more than words ever could.
marilynx · 2011-08-31: 05:54
MoMac Very touching , the hubby looks as if he's keeping guard while she rests.
BTW what are those stick like plants in the background?
MoMac · 2011-08-31: 06:00

jerzeexposures What a great capture of emotions. Love the use of black and white so we can really feel her tiredness.

jennyLit · 2011-08-31: 08:39
karmankwarner This is a wonderful capture and speaks volumes. She has had all she can take and needs rest and he looks as if he is guarding her while she does. So happy yet so sad at the same time.

ArtBee She looks like one tired birdie! Now there's a picture worth a thousand words! The other birdie looks like he's assessing how much further they need to go. It must have been a long stretch already. That's what real love looks like! What a fantastic candid shot this is paparazzi Dan!
Great Entry for the theme
Well Done!

Eiram This is an excellent photo, Dan...what an expression ...he seems to be worried, his wife is not feeling well...his eyes tell it all. You touched my heart with this photo - into my favs.
Eiram · 2011-08-31: 13:49
????? She looks so worn out, almost troubled.... I would like to believe that he is concerned and waiting for her to catch her breath... To me, I don't see the concern in his eyes.... :)

LAZYWASP What a lovely portrrait...very well done...great take on the theme.
LAZYWASP · 2011-08-31: 16:14
lookagain Very interesting how many of the commenters above see this image differently, depending on their own situations, I suppose. It seems to prove that how we view the world is colored by our own personal experiences. If nothing else maybe it should remind us to be more understanding and patient with people....they may be dealing with more than we know. Excellent shot, and creative post for the theme, Dan...

lukesmom What an interesting shot. So nostalgic looking in b&w. Do you know these people? The poor woman looks like she's about to collapse. It really evokes a lot of thoughts! Nice job!
lukesmom · 2011-08-31: 21:44
Keryl I think it's sad. Maybe they use to come here when they were young, before he had to use a cane and she could walk a bit without tiring. He's looking off, reminiscing.....

Or, maybe a hot chick in a thong just ran by.
Keryl · 2011-08-31: 23:23
lgnelson Marsha (lookagain) said it well. Very reflective post, Dan! Thanks for challenging our minds!
lgnelson · 2011-08-31: 23:27

Jarvo Gosh she looks like she's really suffering.
Jarvo · 2011-09-01: 19:58
atszabo It was very interesting to read all the comments here, Dan!
To me it definitely looks like she is suffering a heart attack, and he might be looking to see if the ambulance is coming yet... Unfortunately I saw people in that situation and it is no fun...
atszabo · 2011-09-02: 00:25
okami Very nice shot!
okami · 2011-09-02: 04:38

????? As I have been able to escape this gorgeous, Dan.
It really looks out of a movie from the 50, with my respects.
Goes straight to my favorite ...
